Interesting Facts: There are 8,600 species of birds in the world today. They are found everywhere. Birds play a vital role in the balance of
nature. They eat insects, pests and small animals. Fruit eating birds are best for scattering seeds for these plants. Seed
eating birds digest seeds and in so doing keep millions of weeds from the earth... Birds have between 1,000 and 25,000
feathers.

How to make your own Sprouts for your Birdies
Learn how to clip your own birdies wings..it is not hard at all and well worth knowing how to do! If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself have your Avian Vet or breeder show you how.
**Remember though, clipped wings do not always stop a bird from flying but it will slow the bird down. It will take twice as much effort for the bird to fly this way. They will not be able to fly as far and will have to stop for a rest so please do not give up on finding a lost bird with clipped or partially clipped wings**
Very good site with information for a safe enviornment for your birds
